The 8th International Symposium on Lipid Metabolism and Tissue Injury (ISLT 2025) was successfully held recently in Chongqing. Taking place from October 9-12 at the Chongqing Radisson Blu Hotel, the symposium was organized by the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Chongqing Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and hosted by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. It brought together leading domestic and international experts, including Academicians Depei Liu, Yun Zhang, Baoliang Song, Yuzhang Wu, and Zemin Zhang, President of Chongqing Medical University, aiming to promote academic exchange and innovation in the field of lipid metabolism and organ injury.
As a key exhibitor, China Gate Scientific presented multiple cutting-edge solutions, demonstrating its expertise in areas such as cardiovascular and metabolic monitoring. As the exclusive China agent for renowned international brands including Sable Systems International, Lucid Scientific, and DMT, China Gate Scientific featured cardiovascular research solutions, comprehensive human metabolic monitoring systems, and small animal metabolic and behavioral phenotyping solutions at its booth, attracting significant attention from attending scholars.
Symposium Background and Significance
The ISLT symposium is a key academic exchange platform for lipid metabolism research in China, focusing on the intersection of lipid disorders and organ damage. With an aging population and changing lifestyles, lipid metabolism-related diseases have become a global public health challenge. This year's event featured over 130 specialized presentations covering cutting edge topics like metabolic kidney disease, cardiovascular functional impairment, and immunoregulation, attracting more than 600 scholars from home and abroad.
Highlights of China Gate Scientific's Participation
The solutions showcased by China Gate Scientific were closely aligned with the symposium's themes, providing robust tool support for lipid metabolism research. These solutions highly resonated with session topics such as lipidomic, signal transduction, and drug target discovery, offering scholars innovative research tools. During the exhibition, the China Gate Scientific team engaged in in-depth discussions with experts, exploring new pathways for preventing and managing metabolic co-morbidities.
Outcomes and Future Perspectives
The symposium not only facilitated academic exchange but also witnessed the inauguration of the Chongqing Medical University Kidney Disease Center, which integrates resources from affiliated hospitals to build a national-level high-standard platform. Experts shared the latest advances in lipid metabolism through plenary lectures and specialized sessions.
China Gate Scientific stated it will continue to support such high-level academic events to promote instrumental innovation and application in Chinese lipid metabolism research. The company looks forward to collaborating with more research institutions to contribute new momentum for preventing and treating metabolic diseases.
