The 14th National Conference on Biomechanics, one of the most influential academic conferences in the field of biomechanics in China, was held from August 8th to 12th, 2024 in Changchun, Jilin, hosted by Jilin University. This series of conferences plays a vital role in promoting academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration in biomechanics and biomedical engineering in China.
The conference featured plenary sessions, parallel sessions (specialized symposia), oral presentations, and poster presentations, covering the latest research achievements in biomechanics and mechanobiology in China over the past three years. The conference was divided into 9 parallel sessions, including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, cellular and molecular, otorhinolaryngology, biomaterials, and rehabilitation and exercise, receiving a total of 106 symposium presentations, 471 oral presentations, and 765 poster presentations.
The conference also held a competition for outstanding papers by young scholars/graduate students and excellent poster presentations, with a total of 20 young scholars, 41 graduate students, and 24 poster presenters awarded the "Best Paper Award".
The conference was attended by approximately 1,200 participants. This series of academic conferences has played a crucial role in promoting academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of biomedical engineering in China, and the successful hosting of the 14th National Conference on Biomechanics reflects the significant progress and outstanding achievements in domestic biomechanics research, marking a new milestone for this discipline.
As a sponsor of the conference, China Gate Scientific showcased its important biomechanics research system, such as the DMT in vitro tissue and vascular myograph, at the event. These advanced experimental devices are widely used in biomechanics research, especially in the study of isolated blood vessels and muscle tension. During the conference, scholars engaged in in-depth discussions with China Gate's technician about the features and application areas of these instruments.
Through this exhibition, China Gate Scientific further expanded its influence in the field of biomechanics research and established extensive academic exchange channels with renowned experts and scholars from across the country. This not only helps to promote the application and development of biomechanics-related technologies in China, but also lays a solid foundation for China Gate Scientific's future business expansion in this field. The successful hosting of the conference also once again demonstrates the flourishing development of biomechanics research in China, pointing the way for the future development of this interdisciplinary field.
