The Large Animal Respirometry System for ruminants and other large animals provides the researcher and animal the advantage of high-volume flow rates, variable flow options and quiet operation.
Automated multiplexing routes the sample gas stream from any user supplied room, head-box or mask to the analysis path. The system provides direct measurement of O2, CO2, CH4, H2O and has an option for chamber temperatue measurements. Relative humidity is monitored in both incurrent and ex-current air streams, allowing mathematical compensation for water vapor dilution. This eliminates scrubbing of CO2 and H2O from the analyzer stream – a significant advantage with large chamber volumes.
