The Large Animal Respirometry System for ruminants and other large animals provides the researcher and animal the advantage of high-volume flow rates, variable flow options and quiet operation.

Automated multiplexing routes the sample gas stream from any user supplied room, head-box or mask to the analysis path. The system provides direct measurement of O₂, CO₂, CH₄, H₂O and has an option for chamber temperatue measurements. Relative humidity is monitored in both incurrent and ex-current air streams, allowing mathematical compensation for water vapor dilution. This eliminates scrubbing of CO₂ and H₂O from the analyzer stream – a significant advantage with large chamber volumes.
